" Today I went by Pine Lake Park. As you may be aware, this date is the one year anniversary of the final acceptance of your firm 's renovation work on the park. It was 9:30 a.m. when I walked the site. Most parks are just "waking up" at 9:30 on a weekday, with a modest amount of use expected for this time of day. This was not the case at Pine Lake Park. The parking lot was already half-full, and the sports field hosted two groups of day campers learning soccer moves. In addition, there were people walking their dogs, fishing, and kids were playing on the play structures. In other words, the park was hopping. I knew to schedule my visit in the morning, because by noon the parking lot is typically full. Pine Lake Park has always been a much-loved park in this community. Since its renovation, though, use has skyrocketed. It has truly become a hub of activity for the city. Even under such heavy use, the work your firm provided has aged nicely. Despite my efforts to find a reason to call you back out, I came up empty-handed. The facilities are functioning appropriately, the plants are healthy, and the turf looks great. I think this speaks well of the quality of materials and workmanship we received from Wyser Construction. Thanks again for such a great job. Your obligations under the one-year warranty are complete. Amy Hargrove from Department of Ecology writes:
" Wyser Construction Co. Inc has been the winning bidder of three contracts for the Washington State Department of Ecology's Soil Safety Program. The contracts ran from April through June of 2008, March through June of 2009, and April through June of 2010. The contracts were for the performance of interim actions at thirty three childcares with arsenic and lead soil contamination from the old Asarco Tacoma Smelter. All three childcares were performed in a timely manner with minimal change orders. The work for all contracts consisted of removing the top six to 12 inches of soil over sections of play areas with soil contamination. The sites varied from small backyards to large field play areas. The contaminated soil was transported to the landfill and then the areas were backfilled with clean soil and covered in sod, hydro-seed, or wood chips. At some of the facilities small play chip areas were made with borders, fabric lining and play chips. Wyser maintained good communication by way of phone calls and emails. They were organized, able to quickly respond to changing situations, and completed each site in a timely manner. It was very important to Ecology that employees be professional and safe at each site, as they were working in close proximity to children and property owners at the childcares. VVyser was able to do this and received many praises from property owners for their work. This work was completed satisfactorily as shown by the release of the retainage "

" I wish to thank you again for your contribution to the cleanup of the PM Northwest Site, and for joining us in the Blessing of the Land ceremony. This has been a very important project for the Swinomish people, and your work will mean much for generations to come. We recognize that environmental projects often take place in a check-andbalance system, where there are competing interests, complex issues, and economic considerations. Working within this system is seldom without difficulty or challenge. However, when roles within this system are mutually understood and respected, mutual success becomes possible. Because of your work, this cleanup project achieved the collaborative effort we needed to succeed. On behalf of the Swinomish Tribe, I thank you and everyone at Wyser Construction for your construction and hazardous materials expertise. Thank you for working so well with all the other people that made this project work. I wish you continued success in all of your endeavors. "

" As a Project Manager for Metro Parks Tacoma I was fortunate enough to work with Wyser Construction on two major projects, both completed on time and under budget. Wyser's quality of work is unsurpassed. Working with them was a pleasure because they are non-confrontational and willing to talk through potential issues. As one of the best companies I have ever worked with, I would highly recommend Wyser as a contractor. "

" Snohomish County Parks and Recreation is very fortunate to have Wyser Construction Company INC. working on numerous park projects. Projects ranges from a million dollar to over 4 million dollars. This company has done excellent work and the County is very pleased with their performances. Any conflicts in plans, specifications and site conditions are expeditiously resolved with Wyser Construction Company. Some projects occur simultaneously and this company is able to achieve the high demands from Snohomish County Parks and Recreation. Work is done is a timely manner and the facility is made available to the public as anticipated. In this economic environment, it is difficult to get a company that will uphold the integrity and reputation of its work. Below is a list of projects completed by Wyser Construction Company INC. 1) Lake Stevens Community Park (40 acres). 2) Willis Tucker Park: Amphitheatre, parking and landscaping. 3) Water Park. 4) Restrooms and play area. 5) Off Leash Dog Park (7 acres). 6) Centennial Trail baffle gates/bollards and some paving on the 18 mile stretch. " I just wanted to send a note your way to say that GeoEngineers appreciates very much the great working relationship we have with Wyser Constmction. GeoEngineers has worked with Wyser since your company was formed -- Dan Reynolds and I worked together on projects even before that, actually going back to 1990. Over many years of working together, you have consistently helped us look good to our clients. You and your company provide value-added to every project. You know the business of environmental cleanup very well and use that experience to improve each project. Your crews are professional, well-organized, and team players. You deliver cost-effective, practical results and get it done right the first time. GeoEngineers always looks for opportunities to recommend Wyser to our private-sector clients and we are always glad to see you on the team for those publicly-bid projects. We are grateful to have this productive working relationship with Wyser Constmction. "

" As a Metro Parks Tacoma Project Manager I have had the pleasure of working with Wyser Construction on three projects within the past year -- two are completed (Wright Park and Norpoint Park) as well as a current project, Kandle Park and Pool. Having been in this business for over 30 years I have found Wyser to be one of the top contractors that I have ever worked with. I can't begin to say enough good about both Dan and Robert Reynolds. Not only are they competent and capable, they both think ahead which alleviates most potential problems for themselves and the owner. Their work is of the highest caliber and they expect and demand the same of their subcontractors. Currently they are constructing the Kandle Park and Pool project. This is an extremely complex project covering over ten acres that involves virtually every discipline. Despite our 30% above normal torrential rains nd hardships of this spring the project is still on schedule. I contribute that to Robert's on site presence as Superintendent and his knowledge and the ability to manage his crew and subcontractors. In short, I would recommend Wyser without reservation to any potential client. "

Hope Gibson from Department of Parks and Recreation writes:
" I have had the pleasure of working with Wyser Construction on several successful public projects. Most recently, they were the general contractor for the City's newest neighborhood park, Ebright Creek Park. This was a 3.5 million dollar, 12 acre park, which the City formally accepted just weeks ago. The project had several complicating factors, including extensive sensitive areas; an extremely limited contingency; a concrete strike; some large-scale change orders late in construction; and one of the worst winters on record. Through all these challenges, Wyser worked with the City and the consultant to keep the work progressing and the costs contained . The finished product turned out beautifully and has been a big hit. I've found Wyser to demonstrate extraordinary craftsmanship and a great attention to detail. They are very collaborative and extremely fair in their approach; and I'd gladly work with them again. "
